Our mission.

The main goal of the Pickleball Kitchen Podcast is to create authentic and useful content that goes deeper than just tips and tricks. We like to talk about the essence of pickleball, not just the physical.

We all know that pickleball is half sport half social. It's true! We try to incorporate both spheres into the podcast. Whenever we have a guest on, they not only talk about their game, but they also talk about where they've come from and how pickleball has affected them.

Another goal we have is to be as relatable and down-to-earth as possible. We make mistakes too and we talk about them often.

We release an episode every Monday morning at 5 AM CST. You can listen to the show on this site, or you can get it on iTunes or Spotify.

Meet Jana Lightfoot

Jana Lightfoot is the co-host of the Pickleball Kitchen Podcast. I asked her to come on the show for episode 8 and as they say, the rest is history. She brings a level of passion and experience that is unmatched.

She's easily one of the most passionate and energetic person I've ever met. Jana is a PPR and IPTPA certified instructor, a competitive tournament player and loves to travel for tournaments. Her deep experiences with pickleball allow her to give insight to our audience in a genuine and down-to-earth manner.

The best of the podcast.

Kory Kelly - EP. 55

Kory Kelly opens up about his battle with PTSD.

Many consider this episode to be the absolute best we've ever done. Kory Kelly is a dear friend of ours who is a veteran. He suffered from severe PTSD when he got home from the war in Afghanistan. He suffered tremendously until he found pickleball.

Because of the amazing community that pickleball fosters and because of the game itself, Kory was able to find himself and get back to the things that are important. In this episode, he tells us all about it.

Tyson McGuffin - EP. 54

Tyson talks about his past, his future and how to stay focused.

Pro pickleball player Tyson McGuffin came on the show back in February of 2019. I met him when he was in our area and he agreed to hop on the show. We had a great chat about pickleball and especially the competitive side of pickleball.

Tyson is a genuine guy. What you hear in the episode is exactly the way it was live. He gives lots of great tips about mindset, confidence and how to really improve certain aspects of your game.

Dave Fleming - EP. 43

Senior pro Dave Fleming talks about what intermediate players need to know!

We've had the enormous pleasure to get to know Dave Fleming over the years playing pickleball. Dave is a previous 5.0 tennis player who picked up pickleball in a hurry. In short order he became one of the best senior pros out there and finds himself playing with pickleball greats like Steve Dawson.

On this episode, Dave talks to us about the things that all intermediate players need to know.
